The Prince of Persia Series is known for it's amazing acrobatics and fun commbat. Ever since The Sands of Time was released 7 years ago, people have fallen in love with the revolutionary gameplay. And I'm glad to say that The Forgotten Sands lives up to all the hype that the other game created.
The presentation in The Forgotten Sands is pretty good. At some points in the game, everything looks beautiful with fantastic lighting, while at other times the game looks dull and colorless. The character models look pretty great though and the Prince's movements look great. The sound is better than the graphics. the musical score is great, and the voice actors are steller. the original Prince revises his role for this game, and the other 3 main characters are voiced to perfection.

The gameplay is, by far, the best part of the game. It's so fun and addicting that i could spend hours and hours playing this game if it wasn't as short as it is. The gameplay focuses heavily on combat and platforming
with some exploration put in to mix things up a bit. At first the combat is pretty boring, but it really comes into its own once you discover new powers and you get to fight different enemies. There are plenty of attacks for the Prince to do and it gets to be super fun! Of course, this game would be nothing without platforming, the thing that made this series so great. The first hour or two are pretty easy, as you might come across a few traps, but thats about it. But later, once you discover the abilitly to freeze water, the platforming really picks up. You will come into these rooms where there will be streams of water flowing and you will have to time you jumps carefully in order to pass. Not to mention, the Prince once again gets the ability to rewind time. This gave me a 2nd chance at some of my mess-ups. luckily, this game dosen't give you unlimited use of this power, so it gives you the perfect balance of risk and reward and difficulty. The Prince will also encounter sarcophogus that you will have to break. These are easy to find, but hard to get to, which is pretty nice.

The controls feel right and there are some challenge modes to complete after you finish the game, which adds some replay value to the game.
Overall this game is pretty great. it has insanely fun gameplay, pretty good presentation, and a story that helps with it. If your a fan of the series, or just a fan of video games, i would definetly suggest you buy this game.
